However, the program has received a fair share of both criticism and praise. And there’s a lot of questions and doubts about the program.

So below, you’ll learn:
- If Sam Ovens Consulting Accelerator is worth it.
- If Sam Ovens is a scam or legit
- If Sam Ovens Consulting is best for you.
- How Consulting Accelerator compare with the other alternatives
There’s a lot to cover about Sam Ovens and his consulting accelerator program, so let’s dive right in.
Who Is Sam Ovens?
Sam Ovens is an entrepreneur and consultant from New Zealand but currently lives and works in the USA. He was named on the list of Forbes 30 under 30 for Asia in 2017.
Born in 1989, Sam Ovens was brought up in decent blue-collar family background. His family dreams and his dream was to study, get a degree, and tread the corporate job path, just like many others.
He was on that path and was doing well. He landed a job at Vodafone at the age of 21 and his family was super-proud of him. His success became theirs.
However, that was short-lived due to an event in his life. Sam Ovens now started getting involved in entrepreneurship.
His first two businesses failed before starting his software business, SnapInspect.
SnapInspect was the first successful business he established.
However, before SnapInspect reached the profitability stage, Sam started offering web designing services to companies and businesses in order to fund his software company.
By the time his software business reached maturity and was profitable, his web designing business was already earning more than his software company.
And that was what prompted Sam Ovens to sell his software company in order to double down on his digital marketing agency.
He has since grown his digital marketing agency to six figures in multiples.
Is Sam Ovens Legit or Scam?
Needless to say, there are negative reviews concerning Sam Ovens.
So you may wonder if Sam Ovens is a scam or legit?
Definitely, there are also positive reviews about him, but the negative reviews seem a bit louder.
But it goes without the saying, that reviews can be sentimental some times.
Although some of the critics have a point, I consider Sam Ovens training programs and content very solid. Sam Ovens is not a scam.
Here are my reasons:
Honest Positive Reviews
While I’m not arguing that there are no negative reviews too, but the majority of the reviews are not valid.
Sam Ovens has over 3000 positive reviews from his students and many more positive reviews around the internet, definitely, he isn’t a scam.
Solid Course Content
The course content of Sam Ovens consulting is absolutely solid. In the course, Sam Ovens explains how to get high-paying clients and also increase your rate as a consultant.
The course focuses on rewiring the minds of students for success. Also, the course talks about some traffic generation methods to get more clients.
Extensive Free Trial
Sam Ovens offers a free trial on his courses in order to help you have a look at what’s involved.
The free trial is very extensive giving you access to all the courses in week one and a few other courses from week 2 to 5.
And if not any, this is a pointer to the real deal Sam Ovens offers in his courses.
What Can You Learn From Sam Ovens?
Sam Ovens teaches how to start and grow a consulting business. However as Sam Ovens explains in his course, consulting is in different phases.
Consulting business can range from DIY (Do it yourself) for clients like helping clients to solve a problem all by yourself to running an online course as a consultant.
In the course, you’ll learn how to start and grow your consulting business to six figures.
However, it’s wise to note that the course does not teach any high-demand skills to offer to clients.
The course only focuses on teaching you how to use your high-demand skill to start and grow a consulting business to six figures, seven-figures, and even 8-figures.
The course also covers some traffic and lead generation methods to attract more clients. He focuses more on Facebook ads as a traffic generation method.
Sam Ovens Courses Review
Sam Ovens offers three advanced courses on starting and growing a consulting business. The Consulting Accelerator course is the first course in his pipeline.
There are two other courses that focus on growing your consulting business; Uplevel Consulting and Quantum Mastermind.
The Consulting Accelerator course promises to get your business to the 6-figure mark, the Uplevel consulting promises the 7-figure mark, and lastly, the Quantum Mastermind helps consultants reach and surpass the 8-figure mark.
Sam Ovens’ Methodology
Sam Oven courses aren’t without a methodology breakdown to help you understand if their teaching methods are best for you.
Sam Ovens uses a non-linear educational method to provide value to his students.
Instead of talking to everyone, Sam Ovens personalizes the teaching to each and every one of his students. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Here’s a breakdown of Sam Ovens teaching methodology:
Sam Ovens offers a conducive and personalized learning environment for his students. The live Q/A section on the learning interface is priceless.
Each student can easily ask their questions and get answers to the questions on the platform. The easy-to-use and simple interface helps the students to concentrate on the platform.
According to Sam Ovens, the main block and obstacle to education are psychological and not logical.
Sam Ovens and his team provide a reprogramming to students’ minds to help them learn the content being taught, apply them, and also erase delusions and ironical teachings off their minds.
Theories have their own use.
But if you’re opportune to learn a real-world application with practical examples, hold-fast to it.
Sam Ovens uses real-world applications of the methods he teaches. He also features his past students in the program which is also another source of practical application.
Again, having a teaching methodology that includes real-world applications is priceless.
Sam Ovens does not taunt certificates or awards to sell people his courses. He doesn’t believe having a certificate adds anything to your business.
In his introductory class, he explains how a degree and certificates don’t have anything to do with running a consulting company.
And he also does the same with his own course. Sam Ovens focuses on helping his students to achieve real-world goals.
He believes achieving the real-world goals of running a successful consulting business is where the reward of registering for his premium courses lies.
As part of the Sam Ovens’s methodology, he doesn’t also believe in giving feedback based on quizzes and surveys.
Sam Ovens allows his students to apply each and everything he teaches on their clients and businesses. So they get their feedback from their clients and business.
And I must say this is a great plus for Sam Ovens and his students.
Are Sam Oven’s Courses Worth It?
Sam Ovens courses are absolutely worth it if you already have a high-demand skill to sell to clients.
So it’s a big Yes if you have a business or a high-demand skill to sell.
However, I don’t consider Sam Ovens courses a good deal if you don’t yet have a business already or a skill you’re planning to sell to clients and customers.
What Is the Consulting Accelerator Course?
Consulting Accelerator course is Sam Ovens’s first course out of the three courses he hosts to help entrepreneurs start and grow a successful consulting business.
Consulting Accelerator is for entrepreneurs just starting their consulting business or those that are interested in running a consulting business.
The course was first launched in 2013 and updated in 2017 (Consulting Accelerator 2.0) Sam Ovens is also planning another update in 2020 (Consulting Accelerator 3.0) to make the course relevant.
The course is a 6 weeks course that includes physical workbooks, live Q/A sections, and a community of entrepreneurs.
The interactive Facebook community is also another selling feature of the Consulting Accelerator course.
Consulting Accelerator Review: An In-Depth Look Inside
As said earlier on, Consulting Accelerator is a 6-week course that focuses on starting and growing a consulting business to profitability.
However, while the course is about starting and growing a profitable consulting business, it’s obviously not for everyone.
Aside from the fact that the course is expensive, it is only best for entrepreneurs with high-demand skills.
If you don’t have a skill, then you can consider other alternatives, as Consulting Accelerator does not teach any high-demand skills.
Not to waste a bunch of your time, here’s a breakdown of the course content.
- Week 1 – Fundamentals & Foundations
- Week 2 – New Paradigm & World View
- Week 3 – Alchemy of Client Conversion
- Week 4 – Alchemy of Client Acquisition
- Week 5 – Fractal Facebook Evaluation
- Week 6 – Minimal Viable Service Delivery
Week 1 – Fundamentals & Foundations
The first week of the course is an introduction to the consulting business.
The chapter has 8 different modules; setting your foundations, natural laws & the equation, the evolution of a consultant, taking a view on the market, picking your 2.0 niche, crafting your MVO, resonating your message, and action items.
The first module; setting the foundations, is a housekeeping course that prepares you logically on how to get the most out of the course.
The first module also emphasizes the attributes of a successful consulting business. In general, the first week of the course talks about picking a niche and setting up your consulting business.
In total, this is a 15 hours course on the fundamentals and foundations of starting a consulting business.
Week 2 – New Paradigm & World View
The week 2 course is all about a reworking of the mind. Just as Sam Ovens promised about working on his student’s mind, this week’s course is dedicated to it.
Week two also has 8 modules of lessons on how to hack the mind and achieve your dreams of a successful consulting business.
Needless to say, this is a fully-loaded course week of over 18 hours of video lectures on restructuring the mind for success.
The modules here are more like a personal development class but also plays into what is needed to be a successful consultant.
Week 3 – Alchemy of Client Conversion
The week 3 course-content is focused on how to sell. Week 3 course is divided into 6 modules that double-down on sales and conversion.
The Illusion of Sales, Alchemy of Conversion, Crafting your script, Pendulum of doubt, Igniting the flame, are the lessons under week 3 course.
In essence, week 3 is all about sharpening your sales skill. And to be candid, you need to be a good salesman in order to get more clients for your consulting business.
In total, it’s a 9 hours course.
Week 4 – Alchemy of Client Attraction
In this section, Sam Ovens teaches lead generation methods to get more clients for your consulting business.
In week 4, Sam explains the different methods through which you can attract more clients to your consulting business.
The methods explained here include organic attraction methods (Facebook posts, direct outreach, lumpy mail, and many others) and paid attraction methods.
This section totally talks about attracting and getting clients.
In total, this is a massive 24 hours course.
Week 5 – Fractal Facebook Evolution
Week 5 is the deal where Sam Ovens talks about how to use Facebook ads as a lead generation method.
Having 24 modules, the section explains the nitty-gritty of running successful Facebook ads while still sticking to their policy.
You also get to learn how to make the best of retargeting ad campaigns. In essence, Sam Ovens shares his working principle on how to scale your consulting business with Facebook ads.
And the most interesting thing is that many of Sam Ovens students first heard of him through his Facebook ads campaigns while a little heard about him on YouTube.
Absolutely, he has an in-depth knowledge of how Facebook ads work.
In total, this is a 24 hours section.
Week 6 – Minimum Viable Service Delivery
This is the last week of the course and also the most promising.
Having 8 modules, this section talks about setting up a system for your consulting business in order to scale fast.
The things that matter in scaling your business like contracting, project management, time management, handling customer’s expectations, and delivering excellent results while still keeping a good profit margin, are the topics of discussion here.
Likewise, this is a 14 hours course in total.
How Much Does Consulting Accelerator Cost?
Sam Ovens Consulting Accelerator basically has three pricing plan options. Not an official one but there are basically three options to get your way into the class.
So let’s dive in.
Option 1 – Free Trial + $500 Discount
The first option is a free trial plus a $500 discount off the course price. And this is by far the best pricing option you can get for Consulting Accelerator.
However, you’re only entitled to the discount when you purchase through a student’s affiliate link.
While the real cost of the program is $1997, getting a discount of $500 removed, you’re left with $1497 to pay for the course.
However, this isn’t a done deal. You need to either upgrade your free trial plan or buy the course early enough to benefit from this amazing deal.
So that’s basically the way to get this amazing discount off the product price.
However, it isn’t without a catch. When you buy a Consulting Accelerator using an affiliate link, you’re not entitled to a refund.
But since you’ll be going through the free trial first hand, you should be able to conclude if it’s’ suitable for you or not before upgrading to the full plan.
Option 2 – Free Trial – No Discount
The second option is a free trial only, no discount.
Definitely not the best option when you could get a $500 discount off the course.
However, you might consider this option in order to keep your money safe under the refund policy, if for no other reason.
For this plan, you’ll be paying the basic price of the course, $1997.
Also for this plan, you can either choose to pay upfront or pay over a period of 5 months, this depends on you.
Paying installment will cost a monthly payment of $597.
And you get to pay or upgrade after going through the free trial.
Option 3 – No Free Trial – No Discount
This is the third and the last pricing plan option available for now. This pricing plan is for entrepreneurs that are sure about the course and just want to dive right in.
This payment option involves not going through free trials and affiliate links, skipping all that and getting the course directly.
For you to consider this option, it must either be that you’ve faith or believe in the value the course has to offer. If not, you wouldn’t push away the option of a free trial.
Well, this isn’t without a reward. By going through this option, you are entitled to a 14-days money-back guarantee.
Is Consulting Accelerator Worth It?
I have said this before, Consulting Accelerator is not for everyone.
It’s only worth it if:
- You already have a skill or business but suck at selling
- You have an interest in learning the act of selling and attracting clients
- You have a business you want to scale
Aside from these, I don’t think it’s worth it.
If your main goal is to learn Facebook advertising or digital marketing generally, there are better courses that focus mainly on digital marketing.
So if that’s what your expectation is from this program, then stay away and find other alternatives that suit you.
Consulting Accelerator Pros and Cons
Below are some of the good and bad highlights of the program.
- Intuitive learning environment
- Amazing and supportive Facebook community
- Offers a free trial and a money-back guarantee
- Provides real-world applications and feedback
- Needless to say, the pricing is expensive
- Does not teach high-paying skills to sell
- The course does not teach many traffic generation methods (He focuses more on Facebook Ads)
- The refund policy doesn’t cover all the pricing options
Consulting Accelerator Reviews & Testimonials
Obviously, there are a lot of reviews and testimonials on Consulting Accelerator on Sam Ovens website, Facebook group, and as many as possible.
As said earlier on, the reviews are a mix. While we have positive reviews, we also have negative reviews on the program.
Let’s have a look at some of the reviews below.
While there are negative reviews concerning Sam Ovens, they are fewer than it looks to be. Here are some of the reviews below.
While I was doing some research on the negative reviews that Sam Ovens has attracted, I came across an entire Facebook page on Sam Ovens scam.
The page seems to have been created to destroy Sam Ovens brand.
And among one of the critic posts, I came across this particular one on fake reviews.
The post claims that Sam Ovens reviews are fake. Below the post was a youtube link which led to the Coffeezilla Youtube channel.
And in the video, he claimed one of Sam Ovens’ testimonials was a professional testimonial giver that has appeared and given testimonials on similar courses.
While he has a point. A look into many of the reviews shows that they are legit.
Here’s the video:
And here’s another negative review on Reddit:
The poster is making a claim of being banned for pointing something out to Sam Ovens Facebook.
There’s no exact way of verifying if this is true or not. Because there are some set of people who don’t hold back in destroying someone’s brand.
But there could be an element of truth in things like this.
And the majority of the reviews I saw criticized Sam Ovens for making big claims.
And to be candid, this is true.
Sam Ovens makes some big claims like what you’ll find on the landing page for Consulting Accelerator course:
The title claims to help you start a profitable business and get your first customer in 42 days.
I think this is too good to be true.
To start with, I discovered a multitude of Sam Ovens positive reviews.
Going by the reviews on his website, Sam Ovens has over 3000 reviews on his courses.
And that’s immense if you ask me.
However, the first thing I would love to point out is that most of his reviews are legit.
Although you’ve seen the Coffeezilla video claiming that they’re all fake.
Here’s another video I found while doing my own diggings.
In this video, Niall explains why the claims of Coffeezilla are wrong.
And going by the data he provided, he was absolutely right about it.
So in essence, Sam Ovens reviews are legit.
And doing some research on Quora, I came across some positive reviews like:
Here’s another one:
If you need more testimonials about the course, there’s no other place to get more than the thousands of testimonials and reviews on his website.
Consulting Accelerator Alternatives
If Consulting Accelerator does not catch your interest, there are alternatives that you might want to check out.
Virtual Summit Mastery Course
Hosting a virtual summit is an awesome lead generation method for businesses. And needless to say, this is one of the best alternatives to Consulting Accelerator.
My first success online was through creating a virtual event. I made over $20,000 dollars from my first virtual summit and also generated thousands of emails.

In this course, you’ll learn a proven method on how to build and explode your email list with virtual summits.
Whether you like it or not, video virtual conferences are on the rise and that’s because it works.
