I wrote this ultimate Funnelytics review and guide to help you understand how Funnelytics works and the exciting things you can achieve with it, including the pros, cons and much more.
I’ve been building funnels for awhile now, and nothing comes close to the effectiveness and ease of use that Funnelytics provides to me and my team.
At the end of this review, you’ll have a chance to leave your opinion about Funnelytics, so stick around for that.
This is an extensive in-depth Funnelytics review.
Let’s get started!
What Is Funnelytics?
Funnelytics is a simple and aesthetically pleasing funnel mapping software that you can use to design, track and analyze your marketing funnels.
It’s the first product of its kind to focus on funnel visualization.
Mikael Dia created Funnelytics after being frustrated that there wasn’t a better tool out there for mapping funnels and tracking analytics all in one place.
He had too many funnel ideas in his head and nowhere to put them!
But Dia wanted to do more than just visualize his funnels…
He wanted to track their effectiveness to be sure that they were profitable.
With Funnelytics, not only do you get to map your funnels with ease, but you get to analyze how they perform with tracking analytics, all within the Funnelytics mapping platform.
What’s Included Inside Funnelytics?
Funnelytics is available in a free and Pro version.
The difference between the two is drastic.
Funnelytics Basic has just enough awesome features to give you a taste of how great Funnelytics Pro could really be.
With Funnelytics Pro, you get a whole host of cool features to help you optimize your funnels and boost revenue:
- Unlimited funnels
- Goal and conversion tracking
- Customer profiles
- Email tracking
- Ad tracking
- Premium funnel templates from industry experts, and much more…
Why Funnelytics?
Funnelytics takes your funnels out of your head and puts them on a canvas.
Then it allows you to insert your tracking analytics right into your funnel maps.
And you get to easily show all of your innovative funnel ideas with your friends through a shareable link or by downloading them as an image file.
Before Funnelytics, the best you could do was draw out your funnels on a whiteboard or sketch them in a mind-mapping program.
With Funnelytics, your ideas are instantly brought to life in picture-perfect form.
Is Funnelytics Right For Me?
Funnelytics is the perfect compliment to funnel page builders like Thrive Architect and ClickFunnels.
Marketers and businesses of all sizes will see a ton of value even with just the basic version.
Go with Funnelytics Pro, and you’ll instantly put your analytics on steroids.
If you’ve used Google Analytics in the past, you may have hit a roadblock when it comes to getting conversion metrics for optin pages.
Google Analytics is AMAZING for a lot of things, but it does have its set of limitations.
Funnelytics picks up where Google Analytics left off — with detailed tracking for every phase of your funnel.
Funnelytics Is Right For You If:
- You want to create beautiful funnels fast.
- You want to analyze the effectiveness of your funnels.
- You want to track metrics for each element and channel of your funnel.
- You want to create a clear vision of your marketing plan.
- You want to easily share your vision with customers and colleagues.
Funnelytics Is NOT Right For You If:
- Funnels aren’t a regular part of your marketing strategy.
- You’ve already created, tested and optimized all of the funnels you’ll ever need.
- You use other tracking tools that give you adequate feedback on the performance of your funnels.

Review Of Funnelytics Key Features & Benefits
Here’s a breakdown of Funnelytics’ most impressive features:
1. Funnelytics Vault
When you sign up for the free version, Funnelytics founder Mikael Dia introduces the Funnelytics Vault.
Right now, you can gain lifetime access to the Vault for only $47.
The Funnelytics Vault is a collection of pre-made funnel templates from some of the biggest marketers in the world:
- Molly Pittman: Digital Marketer
- Dan Henry: GetClients.com
- Sam Ovens: Consulting.com
- Ryan Levesque: ASK Method
- Grant Cardone: The Millionaire Booklet
- Russell Brunson’s DotCom Secrets Book Funnel
- Mentorbox
and many more…
Why start from scratch when you can start with tested funnels created by the marketers you already know and respect?
Funnelytics purchased all of the best funnel products and took screenshots of them so that you don’t have to.
For example, Grant Cardone’s order forms:
Grant Cardone’s upsell page: This is just the first section of the upsell page. It was too long include the whole image in this review.
Mikael Dia describes to his Funnel Vault as “Ethically stealing over $35 million of funnel hacks.”
They’re always adding more expert funnels every month.
The funnels are from a range of industries, including information products, book funnels and membership sites.
Funnelytics has dissected every aspect of these funnels, from the upsells and downsells to the landing pages and ads.
They’ve created explanatory videos for every funnel to make sure you understand how they all work.
The best part is that these funnel templates are built right into Funnelytics.
All you have to do is click a button and your template of choice will instantly load into the funnel map.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Click the Vault tab in the main menu, then select you funnel of choice.
Step 2: Click the “Funnelytics Template” button to share the template to your Funnelytics dashboard.
Step 3: Click the blue button to add the funnel to your dashboard.
Step 4: Viola! Your premium funnel template is loaded into your dashboard.
You may have noticed that there’s also an option to load the funnel into
When you click this button, you’ll be directed to your
The Cons:
- It would be nice to have access to more than one funnel per expert marketer. Funnelytics shares only one funnel per marketer when they could share all the wealth. Hey, what can I say? I’m greedy.
- The templates can take several seconds to load. Not a big deal, but it could be improved upon.
THE BOTTOM LINE?
Funnelytics Vault gives you (almost) everything you need so that you can model the best funnels out there.
No reason to re-invent the wheel when you can just start making money with somebody else’s!
2. Drag and Drop Funnel Builder
The drag ‘n drop funnel builder is the heart and soul of Funnelytics. You get access to it in both the Pro and Basic versions.
Using it is so intuitive that you almost don’t need any instructions, but just incase, here you go…
First, let’s walk through creating your first funnel just so you get a feel for it.
How to Create Your First Funnel
This is what your Funnelytics dashboard looks like:
Click the “Create a Project” button in the top left corner and enter the name of your project.
You project name will appear in the left sidebar.
Select your project name in the sidebar and click the “Create Funnel” button in the top right corner of your screen.
Name your funnel.
Congratulations! You’ve created your first funnel!
Designing Your First Funnel from Scratch
This is what your blank funnel map looks like.
On the left you can view your icon options:
Pages: Choose from a Opt In, Order Page, Sales Page, Sales Video, Survey and 10 other types of pages.
Traffic: These icons represent your traffic source and are where you’ll attach your UTM parameters for tracking. There are icons for Facebook ads, Adwords, banner ads, LinkedIn and 18 other traffic sources.
Actions: Action icons represent the type of user activity you want to track with Google Tag Manager. Choose between Purchase, Watch Video, Add to Cart, Complete Form and four other unique actions.
Offline: Offline icons represent parts of your sales funnel that take place outside of the internet such as…
- Business
- Card
- Meeting
- Print Ad
- Radio
- and Text Message
Templates: Whatever templates you create or import will show up here.
Now that you have a lay of the land, it’s time to drag those icons out onto the map and start making you funnel dreams into a reality.
Designing Your Funnel
To get started, click and drag a traffic source icon out onto the map.
Then grab the pages that you want to include in your funnel and arrange them to you liking.
As you drag the pages out and position them, they’ll automatically link to each other in the order that you lay them down.
If you want to unlink a pair of icons, click on the icon where the arrow begins. A set of buttons will appear below the icon.
Click on the far right “link” button to break the link.
The traffic source icon will not automatically link to the first page in the funnel. To link it, click on the traffic source icon.
Click the “link” icon that appears on the far right.
Hold and drag your cursor until the arrow makes contact with the page that you wish to link to.
Setting Goals
To set conversion and revenue goals for a page, click on the icon and then select the “alarm clock” button that appears below the icon.
A sidebar will pop up on the right side of the screen where you can enter the goal name, the target value, and select the type of goal:
- Lead
- Sale
- or Application
3. Track and Analyze User Flow
All the funnel mapping we just covered occurs in the “Map” setting.
To switch to “Analyze” mode, click on the button highlighted at the top of the screen in the image below:
Your traffic and conversion metrics will magically appear!
This is my favorite part of Funnelytics!
Later I’ll show you how to connect these metrics to an active campaign.
Below is a screenshot of an active campaign:
You get to see how customers flow from your ads (traffic source) and through every phase of your marketing funnel.
In the above example, 5 of the original 1000 visitors made it to the final page of the funnel.
Often times the slightest changes to your sales copy can make a big difference when it comes to conversion rates.
With Funnelytics, you get to see exactly where customers are dropping off so that you can strengthen weak pages in your funnel.
4. Track External Traffic Sources
You can track and analyze external traffic to your funnels and pages with UTM tagging.
What are UTMs?
Let’s find out!
What is a UTM?
UTM stands for Urchin Traffic Monitor.
When you attach UTM codes to the end of a website URL, it creates a unique tracking code.
Anytime a user clicks a link on your site, the tags are sent to Funnelytics so that you can track the activity.
Watch this explanatory video for a full breakdown on how to set up tracking in Funnelytics.
How to Link a Traffic Icon to a UTM Code
When you connect a traffic icon to your UTM code, the icon will automatically be updated with traffic analytics from the page!
When you create your map in Funnelytics, make sure to connect the traffic icon to the page icon and not the other way around.
Here’s what I mean:
