Ecamm Live is for anyone who wants to start streaming, from beginners to experienced streamers (as long as you’re using a Mac, as it doesn’t work on PC).
How Does Ecamm Live Work?
Once you’re logged in, Ecamm Live will open to the ‘Home’ screen.
Here you’ll see a list of your recent live streams and recordings, as well as any upcoming events. You can also create new events from here.
The main Ecamm Live window is divided into three sections:
- The top section contains all the controls for streaming and recording
- The middle section displays your webcam or camera output
- The bottom section shows chat messages and other stream data
From here you can start a new live stream by clicking the ‘Go Live’ button, or record a previous stream or event.
You can also change your broadcast settings, add media files and more.

Ecamm Live has a free trial version, which gives you access to the full Ecamm feature set.
However, there are limitations such as only being able to broadcast for two hours at a time and having no option to save your recorded videos on Ecamm’s servers.
