What Is a ClickFunnels Affiliate?

I could’ve gotten fancy with my own definition, but I figured why not just go straight to the source?

Here’s Russell’s definition of funnel hacking:

A ClickFunnels affiliate is someone who gets paid to bring new customers into the Clickfunnels ecosystem of products.

It’s one of the best recurring affiliate programs out there, meaning that you don’t just make commissions on the initial sale, but you also get paid for everything else that person buys…for life.

How To Become a ClickFunnels Affiliate

There are currently three ways to become a ClickFunnels affiliate.

Method #1: Sign up directly by clicking this link. You’ll also be automatically signed up for Russell’s Dream Car Challenge, but more on this later…

Method #2: Sign up for a 14-day trial of ClickFunnels (if you haven’t already).

Method #3: Enroll in Russell’s FREE Affiliate Bootcamp (below is a screenshot of what Day #1 of the training looks like).

ClickFunnels Affiliate Affiliate Bootcamp Day 1

Why Promote ClickFunnels?

3 words:

This isn’t the only reason to become a ClickFunnels affiliate, but it’s definitely at the top of the list.

When you get someone to order their first ClickFunnels product (even if it’s just a free book or the FREE Bootcamp) you get commissions on all the other stuff they buy until the end of time.

How does ClickFunnels know that your affiliates are your affiliates?

They use tracking cookies to know where the buyer came from…and then they store it in their database and attach it to your account.

Here are a few more reasons to join the ClickFunnels affiliate program:

REASON #2: 40% Commissions

Across the board, affiliate programs pay out anywhere from 4% to 90% commissions depending on the industry.

ClickFunnels pay 40%, which  is incredibly high for a recurring affiliate program (usually when commissions are this high it’s just a one-and-done deal).

To put it bluntly, ClickFunnels’ affiliate program is NUTS.

On top of that, you get paid 5% for all the commissions that your affiliates make.

In other words, if you get someone to sign up, and then that person gets someone to sign up, you make 40% on everything the first person buys AND 5% on everything the second person buys…for life.

Yep…it’s that good of a deal.

REASON #3: A Quality Product You Can Stand Behind

I like ClickFunnels — it’s not a perfect product, but it’s the best of its kind and I like what it does for my business.

It increases my conversions, reduces my cost per lead, and boosts my revenue.

This makes it easy to promote because I know it’s going to help my audience get better results.

On top of that, I know that Russell truly cares about the long-term results of his customers (it’s how ClickFunnels has become so successful to begin with).

I only promote products that I can stand behind 100% and ClickFunnels definitely falls into this category.

REASON #4: There Are Tons of Products to Sell (with great price points)

ClickFunnels’ least expensive plan is $97/month and the next level up is $297.

That works out to $39 and $119 a month per ClickFunnels subscription in your pocket.

PLUS most of Russel’s info courses and other products have a high price point:

The commissions for Russell’s Free + Shipping books is only $1.00, but the main benefit here is that they get people into the funnel (you’ll make more money later down the line when they buy more stuff).

REASON #5: High-Converting Hook Offers and Enticing Trial Periods

Russell Brunson knows how to create killer offers that get people into his funnels, so you’ll be working with exceptional marketing material.

Russell’s DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets books are great for hooking leads.

All they have to do is pay for shipping and handling and they get the book for free.

And Russell’s courses have 30-day refund policies, so people can subscribe risk-free.

PLUS ClickFunnels software itself comes with a 14-day trial period.

And finally, Russell’s Bootcamp is free for the first four days after they subscribe.

When it all shakes out, Russell makes it pretty hard for people to say “NO” to ClickFunnels.

REASON #6: Expansive Library Of Training Materials

ClickFunnels is pretty easy to use, but it can still be intimidating for first-time marketers.

Luckily, Russell has dozens of training programs and other info products (and you earn commissions on almost all of them).

REASON #7: Professional Marketing Materials

ClickFunnels supplies you with tons of done-for-you promotional material.

You can access it by clicking “AFFILIATE TOOLS GET MY LINKS” in your affiliate dashboard.

You’ll find all sorts of banners ads, images, email swipe files, and more…

The bottom line is, Russell makes it easy to crush it as an affiliate.

REASON #8: FREE Affiliate Training

If for some reason this epic ultimate guide doesn’t fully prepare you to crush it, Russell’s FREE Bootcamp should do the trick.

He could have easily sold this course for $2k, but he’d rather give it away and make sure you kill it.

SIDE NOTE: It’s only free for the first 4 days, but if you want you can pay for unlimited access after it ends. The paid version comes with bonus behind-the-scenes videos where the super affiliates show you their actual funnels.

Here’s what the paid version looks like:

In the course, 15 of Russell’s top-performing affiliates share detailed 100-day plans for how to make a full time income as a ClickFunnels affiliate…and I’m talking with…

  • NO marketing experience
  • NO email list
  • NO social following
  • NO connections

Two Comma Club

When Russell was just getting started with online marketing over 10 years ago, a guy named John Reese redefined what was possible when he made over $1,000,000 in 18 hours selling his Traffic Secrets course (Russell now owns Traffic Secrets btw, and you can read my in-depth review here).

It took Russell over three years before he made $1,000,000 in a year, and eventually $1,000,000 in a month, and then finally $1,000,000 in a day.

Russell created the Two Comma Club to celebrate all of the ClickFunnels users who have made over $1,000,000 with ClickFunnels

There’s no bonus prize involved…but you do get an awesome plaque and the recognition of your ClickFunnels peers.

It’s a nice cherry on top of your hard-earned money.

Dream Car Challenge

Russel’s Dream Car Challenge is a fun ClickFunnels affiliate perk (and possibly the best affiliate prize ever).

The idea is simple:

  • Subscribe 100 active ClickFunnels members, and Russell will give you $500/month to cover the lease on your dream car…
  • Get 200 active ClickFunnels members and Russell will give you $1,000/month.

Hundreds of affiliates are already collecting their checks and driving their new whips…

What’s your dream car?

My Personal Journey With ClickFunnels Affiliate Program

I’m still pretty new to the ClickFunnels affiliate game myself, but I’ve been doing a ton of research, and the strategies in this epic ClickFunnels Affiliate Guide are the best ones I’ve found so far.

Up until now I’ve been focusing on in-depth reviews and SEO, but soon I’ll be targeting YouTube.

ClickFunnels has helped me grow my personal brand business from ground zero to doing over $50k a month in recurring revenue, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I also own almost all of Russell’s info products, and they’ve really helped me crank up the effectiveness of my funnels.

I’m excited to see what they can do for you, and if you become a ClickFunnels affiliate you’ll get to spread the joy too.

How To Get The Most Out Of The ClickFunnels Affiliate Program

Regardless of the specific strategies you use, there are a few general guidelines that are always good to follow (at least in the beginning)…

1. Capitalize on your strengths as a marketer.

Marley Baird is one of Russell’s super affiliates.

She focuses on YouTube because that’s her specialty.

Dream Car winner JR Rivas, on the other hand, primarily leverages organic Facebook outreach.

Whatever your strengths are, optimize those first and then branch out from there.

2. Hook them with an entry-level product and let Russell do the upselling for you.

ClickFunnels super affiliate Spencer Mecham likes to get new users into ClickFunnels with Russell’s Free + Shipping DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets books.

Once they’re in the funnel, he knows that Russell will upsell them like crazy.

At the same time, he continues to warm them up with email sequences, but more on that later…

3. Target the right people.

Target businesses that have a high customer lifetime value (LTV) — they’ll have a greater incentive to subscribe to ClickFunnels for the long run.

They’ll also be more likely to buy Russell’s info courses because they have more to gain.

16 Ways To Make Money With ClickFunnels And Become Their Next Super Affiliate

There’s more than one way to skin a cat, and there’s more than a dozen ways to make money as a ClickFunnels affiliate (16 to be exact).

Without further ado, let’s jump in…

1. Funnel Giveaway

ClickFunnels has an awesome feature called Share Funnels that can be really powerful if you leverage it correctly.

It allows you to share any of your funnels with a custom link.

The catch is that they have to be a member of ClickFunnels to access and use the funnel, so it gives people extra incentive to subscribe.

The key here is to give them an amazing funnel that’s guaranteed to get results.

When you share the funnel, they’ll be asked to sign up for a free 14-day trial.

The hope is that after they see the funnel in action they’ll subscribe for a full month of ClickFunnels

2. Build Funnels As A Service

This marketing tip is similar to the Funnel Giveaway strategy, except that instead of giving funnels away, you sell them as a service.

There are already quite a few freelancers doing this on sites like Upwork.

If you create a name for yourself, the work will start pouring in.

Each of your customers will serve is an opportunity to convert them as a loyal ClickFunnels fans.

After your funnels deliver results, you can suggest that they subscribe to ClickFunnels and run the funnels themselves.

3. Give Away Free ClickFunnels Training

This strategy can be especially effective with people who entered the funnel by ordering one of Russell’s books.

These people are obviously interested in ClickFunnels, but they’re still not sure if it’s right for them.

Maybe they think that it won’t work in their industry, that it’s not a good fit for their business, or that it’s bad timing.

But chances are they’re hesitating because they’re intimidated by the software.

ClickFunnels can look overwhelming for tech newbies, but you might be able to talk them into it by offering them free training.

The training you provide will establish your own authority and build trust.

This free training can be in the form of a webinar, virtual conference, eBook, one-on-one consulting, or group coaching…it’s really up to you.

4. Create An Info Product On How To Build A Business

Another strategy is to create a course or eBook on how to start a business.

As part of the course, you’ll cover how to promote the business using ClickFunnels, and that’s where you can get them to subscribe through your affiliate link.

Your info product can cover how to start a blog, how to start a podcast, or how to create a membership site, just try to think outside the box and focus on a niche that has less competition.

Niches like travel blogging and drop shipping are pretty saturated so you should try to avoid these.

Instead, get creative and consider with your own passions and hobbies.

What about a course on how to start a tennis training business?

Tennis is an under-served niche that can drive serious revenue.

In fact, one of my Virtual Summit Mastery students recently did big numbers with his Tennis 2.0 Summit.

By niching down until it hurts, you can get similar results and use it to drive ClickFunnels affiliates.

5. Write In-Depth Reviews

I write in-depth reviews for all the affiliate products I promote.

It’s one of the best ways to tap into organic Google traffic.

By strategically targeting keywords I can get my articles to rank on the first page of Google.

If I succeed, I can drive qualified leads through my funnel.

There’s a few key concepts that you have to keep in mind when you’re trying to rank your reviews:

  • Target keywords with buying intent, like “best affiliate programs” or “Mailchimp vs. Active Campaign.” People searching for these types of keywords are almost ready to buy.
  • Target keywords with a high search volume (they’ll drive more leads).
  • Target keywords with low competition (they’ll be easier to rank for).

You can use SEO tools like SEMRush to find these “low-hanging fruit” keywords and to brainstorm additional keywords.

PRO TIP: Whenever you publish a new article on your website, blast it out to your email list and include a link to the original article in the body of the email. This will send traffic to the article and help its rankings.

6. Create Your Own Irresistible Bonus Offer

A lot of the times I like to sweeten the deal with my own bonus packages.

When I do product reviews, I make sure to out-do the bonus offers of other bloggers.

For example, if the site that’s currently ranking #1 for Funnels Hacks has pretty epic bonus content, I try to put together an even better one.

Just don’t give people access to your bonus material until after the refund period, otherwise people might return it immediately and keep your free bonuses.

7. Build A Bridge Page And Collect Emails

Get people to opt in to your personal email list when they sign up for ClickFunnels by using a bridge page.

The bridge page is a page between the traffic source and the ClickFunnels confirmation page where you can offer your irresistible bonus experience.

When they agree to sign up for ClickFunnels (or to buy one of Russell’s products), they simultaneously agree to join your email list.

Here’s a screenshot of a high-converting bridge page that super affiliate Steve Larsen uses for The One Funnel Away Challenge:

One thing you should notice immediately is how similar the design and color scheme are to Russell’s official ClickFunnels pages.

This communicates instant authority and trust, which is one of the reasons why Steve’s page is so effective.

PRO TIP: The color red is a psychological trigger that drives people to click.

8. YouTube

Posting product reviews on YouTube is a major source of traffic for some ClickFunnels affiliates.

In fact, several of Russell’s super affiliates leverage this strategy, including…

Here’s a video of Billy Gene interviewing Russell (I’m sure he converted a few ClickFunnels subscribers off of this).

Soon I’ll be creating YouTube videos of my own to pair with my in-depth product reviews.

My goal is to tag team Google SEO and YouTube SEO to boost my rankings on both platforms.

9. Paid

Running ads on Google, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube can drive serious leads…just make sure to keep track of how much you’re spending.

If your cost per lead gets too high, it won’t be profitable, although it’s normal to lose some money before you start breaking even.

Later in this guide, I’ll cover Russell’s timeline for what to expect with paid ads in this regard.

Spencer Mecham likes to keep his cost per lead at around $8 or less for Facebook Ads.

Even if he converts on a Free + Shipping book (which is only a $1 commission), these leads will eventually buy more expensive products or subscribe to ClickFunnels

When it all shakes out, he covers his ad spend and comes out with a profit.

10. Combining Emails and Paid Ads

ClickFunnels is one of the few affiliate programs that gives you your affiliates’ emails (which is pretty rare in the affiliate world).

You can access them by clicking “Get My Links!” in your affiliate dashboard.

Spencer likes to send out mass emails and offers to help his subscribers learn how to use ClickFunnels

If they agree, he gets them to subscribe to his personal email list.

Next, he sends them automated email sequences where he educates them about ClickFunnels and warms them up for buying more of Russel’s products…then he throws these same emails into Facebook and runs targeted ads.

In this video Spencer explains how he hooks affiliates with entry-level offers and then leverages their emails to the high heavens:

11. Automated Email Sequences

If you’re going to be sending emails, you might as well be automating them.

Email autoresponders like ConvertKit make it easy to create custom email campaigns for specific groups of subscribers.

For example, you can create an 11-email onboarding sequence with Russell’s Funnel Scripts software and then send it ONLY to people who opted in with Expert Secrets

Then you can have a separate onboarding sequence for people who entered the funnel by purchasing Network Marketing Secrets.

Your autoresponder sequences are like salesmen that work for you around the clock.

PRO TIP: Give away one of your Share Funnels as a bonus in a Soap Opera sequence or with a case study to add extra value and boost conversions.

12. Webinars

Russell absolutely crushes it with his Perfect Webinar script.

In fact, he’s sold over a million dollars before with just a single webinar.

If he can use webinars to sell ClickFunnels, then you can too.

Tyler Clark, one of Russell’s super affiliates and Dream Car winners, specializes in using live webinars to sell ClickFunnels.

In the Russell’s Bootcamp, he shares the 11 actionable steps that took him from zero to 106 paying ClickFunnels subscribers in under 100 days.

13. Virtual Summits

You can use virtual summits and other virtual events to sell ClickFunnels products off the back end.

If you host a summit in a business-related niche, you can recommend ClickFunnels as part of the ideal marketing strategy

This can work with mini-summits as well, which are easier to produce because you only need to interview a handful of experts.

14. Dream 100

Dana Derricks is another of Russell’s super affiliates and Dream Car winners.

In the Russell’s Bootcamp, he shows you how to target your 100 dream leads.

Basically, these are people who would for sure buy a bunch of his info products, subscribe to ClickFunnels, or both.

And in the best case scenario they would also evolve into mutually beneficial relationships.

The best part of Dana’s strategy is that you can do it without spending any money on ads.

15. Local

Targeting local businesses can be another profitable long-term affiliate strategy.

The downside to this method is that it can take a little longer to get people warmed up, but once you prove to them that ClickFunnels works, they’ll be converted for life.

To get them started, you can give away one of your Share Funnels.

For example, if you have a funnel that’s specifically for chiropractors, you can share it with them and get them signed up for a ClickFunnels trial.

After the funnel gets them 30-or-so new patient opportunities in a single month, it should be an easy sell to get them to subscribe to ClickFunnels.

16. Promote The One Funnel Away Challenge

The One Funnel Away Challenge is a ClickFunnel affiliate’s dream.

What’s all the fuss about?

For one, you get 100% commissions on every sale.

Nope, that’s not a typo…and they pay $100 for the course…and you keep ALL OF IT.

Then to add to the awesomeness, The OFA Challenge happens to be one of Russell’s highest-converting programs.

To put it simply, promoting The OFA Challenge should absolutely be part of your affiliate strategy.

BONUS: Russell’s Personal Step-by-Step ClickFunnels Affiliate Plan

In the Russell’s Bootcamp, he lays out his own 100-day plan for starting from scratch as an affiliate.

If Russell was starting from ground zero today, here’s what he would do:

STEP #1: Pick A Market That’s Different Than Everybody Elses

Russell recommends picking a niche and focusing ONLY on that group.

According to Russell, local businesses (like dentists and chiropractors) are ideal because there’s less competition.

Although to be fair, compared to other types of local businesses, chiropractors and dentists are targeted pretty frequently by marketers. The difference here is that they’re usually being sold full-service Facebook ads, whereas you’ll be pitching pitching DIY ClickFunnels

If you want to make it even easier on yourself, trying niching down even harder.

For example, you can target only pediatric dentists, or only crossfit gyms.

Get as creative as you want…just confirm that they have a profitable business model with a high lifetime value (LTV) per customer.

STEP #2: Squeeze Page

This is the first page of the simple two-page funnel that Russell uses for local businesses.

It should say something along the lines of, “Here’s a free video of how (insert local business) owners like you can get more customers using ClickFunnels. Enter your email below to watch the video.”

When they click “SUBMIT” they’ll be taken directly to the bridge page.

STEP #3: Bridge Page

The bridge page is a video explaining the value of ClickFunnels and how it works.

Make it specific to their industry and speak directly to them.

“So you’re a restaurant owner and you want to get more customers in the door…”

Map out the funnel they’ll use to get more customers.

It’s designed to give them that “Ah-Hah” moment where everything clicks into place and starts to make sense.

STEP #4: Give Away A Free Funnel

Build a Share Funnel specifically for their industry and link to it at the bottom of the bridge page.

Show them a preview of the funnel and tell them to click the link at the bottom of the page to get it for free.

When they click, they’ll be asked to subscribe to a 14-day free trial of ClickFunnels so that they can start using the funnel.

STEP #5: Drive Traffic

Send traffic through your funnel by running paid Facebook ads.

STEP #6: Follow Up

Follow up with an email and remind them to watch the full video if they didn’t sign up for ClickFunnels right away.

This will be the case with almost everyone (very few people buy on the first point of contact).

STEP #7: Continue Sending Emails

Continue following up with emails and trying out different offers.

Most of Russel’s autoresponder sequences are 8-9 emails long.

STEP #8: Expect To Lose Money At First

In the beginning, expect to spend more money on ads than you make back.

It takes time to warm customers up and get them to buy.

On average, it will take at least 5-6 contact points before you start to break even.

STEP #9: Continue To Communicate and Build Your List

Over time you can build trust and grow an email list

Continue offering value and making upsells.

According to Russell, your email list is the most valuable piece of your marketing strategy.

Explaining ClickFunnels To Absolute Beginners

Sales funnels have been around since way before the internet.

In this video, Russell explains that McDonalds has been using funnels since the beginning of time.

He also shows you exactly how to use ClickFunnels to reproduce McDonald’s classic strategy for your own business.

My advice is to ask your leads to watch this video first because it’s an excellent intro to the value of ClickFunnels

Why Sales Funnels Work

Funnels work because they leverage human behavior.

First, you hook them with an entry-level offer…then you gradually warm them up for upsells and use one-time offers to get them to buy while their brain is still in “buying mode.”

ClickFunnels makes the process of building, customizing, hosting, and launching effective funnels as easy as possible.

ClickFunnels Works In Any Industry

ClickFunnels works with any product and in any industry.

It doesn’t matter if you’re selling supplements, exercise equipment, ebooks, info courses, software, or leads…the options are endless.

PLUS they have tons of pre-built templates for…

  • Email sequences
  • Squeeze pages
  • Webinars
  • Landing Pages
  • Sales video funnels
  • Product launch funnels
  • …and more…

As Russell puts it, if you’re selling a product, chances are you can sell better with ClickFunnels.
